Do You Pray for Favor?
I don’t know about you, but I continually ask the Lord for favor— with both God AND man.
As Christian writers and influencers, we NEED the favor of God to rest upon us.
We need Him to establish the work of our hands.
And make our way straight.
Only He can accomplish in and through us, that which He desires.
The Struggle is Real
Last night I felt the familiar pangs of disappointment begin to creep in, yet again.
The devil spews his poison into my ears— you’re just not good enough.
You are not making a difference.
No one cares what you have to say.
Why try so hard? It’s all for nothing.
Words I’ve heard a thousand times..
And today, the Lord reminds me that although we have to make our focus Him alone, it is not wrong to ask for favor.
In fact, He WANTS us to ask for favor, because He loves to bless His children.
The way He chooses to bless us is up to Him, of course. We must drop our expectations of what that ought to look like, and instead embrace what He brings.
But I want to encourage you today to ask God for His favor. You might just be surprised at how He answers!
Prayer for You Today
Father, today I come before you, and I ask that Your favor would fall on each one of my sisters this morning.
God, may we each have a good report at the end of the day, the week, the month— a testimony to share— of just how great you are, and how mightily you have blessed us.
Remind us that it’s okay to ask for good things— Godly things— because it’s your desire that we do so.
You are a good, GOOD Father, who only knows how to give good gifts. The BEST gifts.
Lord, as we seek you in our ministry, would you pour out your Spirit on us, encourage us, inspire us, and equip us to be a blessing to those whom we are given.
Open doors that no man can close, and close doors that no man can open.
Enlarge our territory of influence, and give us the desires of our heart.
Guide us, protect us, and bless us with new opportunities to make your name known, in a lost and dying world.
May we be the light of the world and the salt of the earth. For YOUR name’s sake!
And when we are tempted to be discouraged, lead us back to our why— to bring You glory!
It’s not about us, God. It’s all about you. Now and forevermore.
In Jesus’ name.. amen.

I love this RAchel. I don’t pray for favor – at least I don’t use that word – very much for me. But last week I was “complaining” to God about ways I thought He wasn’t favoring our family! And then i began to see a shift in the wind and listed several “favors” that came about. (Still waiting on a Big One) but it was encouraging as is your post and you, as a sister in Christ and ministry! Praying favors for us both today. xoxo

I am praying for God’s favor for 2 special people this month in hopes that it will make a difference in their lives.
